Adaptation of a semi-distributed rainfall-runoff model to the selected area characteristics and its improvement in order to increase the flood forecast accuracy and the lead-time of the forecast.

  The model outputs are the level and discharge hydrographs in the sections chosen by the users. The model will be provided with an updating procedure and with a routine assessment of the impact of the water storage works (reservoirs and non-permanent storage works) on the peak discharge of floods. The forecasted hydrograph will be the input of a hydraulic model for computing the transport and modification of the flood waves along the river on the basis of the geometry and the hydraulic parameters of the riverbed.
